A warm towel where there's no power outlet. The ThermOne Air W2 has a battery. It works in the car, at the desk, in the guest bathroom, and at the campsite. One button, two seconds, done.
The battery makes all the difference
5,000 milliampere-hours in the device. No cable, no need for a spot next to an outlet, no question of where the power strip is. This makes the Air W2 the only model in the ThermOne family that you take with you instead of setting up.
From cold to 85 degrees
The temperature ranges from 0 to 85 degrees, and humidity can be regulated between 10 and 90 percent. The range is deliberately wide: an ice-cold towel after sports and a steaming hot one in winter come from the same device.
One button, nothing more
No menu, no learning curve. If you put the device out for guests, you don't want to stand next to it and explain. Press, take a towel.
Up to 18 towels in the container
The Air W2 works with compression towels: small pressed tablets that expand with water in the device. This saves space, which is why a device measuring 24.5 centimeters wide can carry a supply at all. 600 milliliter water tank.

Kitchen, bathroom, office, car, travel, guest room. For continuous operation in a studio or restaurant, the ThermOne A, the ThermOne Q6, and the ThermOne Pro C are built, which work from a roll and dispense significantly more towels at a time.
The warm towel as a greeting is called Oshibori in Japan and has been part of the place setting there for centuries.

What is an oshibori?
An oshibori is the moist towel handed out before a meal in Japan. Warm in winter, chilled in summer. What began as a courtesy has become an expectation: once you have had one, you miss it.
How does an oshibori machine work?
Load the roll, fill in water, press the button. The machine cuts a towel off the roll, moistens it and brings it to temperature. The towel only comes into being at that moment. Nobody has handled it before.
Warm or cold towel, and when?
The same machine does both. For cold towels you add ice cubes instead of hot water. In summer at reception and after sport, in winter after the meal and before the shave.
Single-use or cloth, which is more hygienic?
A cloth towel is as clean as its last wash cycle and the box it is kept warm in. A towel from the machine is made at the moment it is dispensed and discarded afterwards. There is no cycle in which something can go wrong.
Are the towels environmentally friendly?
The towels are made from plant fibres rather than plastic. On top of that the entire laundry cycle disappears: no detergent, no fabric softener, no trip to the laundry service, no warming box running all day.
What does a single towel cost?
The price per towel is the price of the refill roll divided by the number of towels on it. Add tap water and the electricity the machine uses. No laundry invoice, no detergent, no minimum order.
Does it make sense at home too?
That is what the compact model is for. It works exactly like the larger machines: fill in water, load the roll, press the button. On a sideboard it turns dinner into an occasion.
