Appliance take-back & disposal
Electrical and electronic equipment does not belong in household waste. As a distributor of electrical equipment we inform you here, in accordance with the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), about your options for returning old appliances free of charge and about your obligations when disposing of them.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on a device, its packaging or the accompanying documents means: at the end of its life this device must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste, but has to be collected separately.
Free take-back by us
You can return old appliances to us free of charge:
- When buying a new device (1:1 take-back): If you buy a new electrical device from us, we will take back one old device of the same type performing essentially the same function, at no cost. When a massage chair is delivered, please tell us at the time of ordering that you would like to return an old device – we will then arrange collection with you.
- Small old appliances (0:1 take-back): Old appliances whose external dimensions are all 25 cm or less (e.g. handheld massagers) are taken back free of charge in household quantities, even if you do not buy a new device from us.
To return small old appliances, please contact our customer service – we will provide a free shipping label.
Public collection and return points
Independently of returning devices to us, you can hand in old appliances free of charge at public waste management authorities (e.g. municipal recycling centres). A directory of collection and return points near you is available on the website of the German stiftung elektro-altgeräte register: www.ear-system.de.
Deletion of personal data
Please note: you are responsible for deleting personal data from the old appliances you dispose of (e.g. in app-linked devices or stored user profiles) before returning them.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries
Waste batteries and rechargeable batteries that are not firmly enclosed by the old appliance (e.g. from remote controls) must be separated from the device before return and disposed of separately. Batteries do not belong in household waste either: you can hand them in free of charge at municipal collection points and anywhere batteries are sold. Batteries containing pollutants are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol together with the chemical symbol of the heavy metal (Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead).
