3D Body Scan:
This function positions the massage rollers in the chair correctly. The massage chair uses body scan technology to find the user's correct pressure points and precisely aligns the rollers.
4D Massage Chair:
These devices have all the functions of a massage chair with 3D body scan function. In addition, the device is able to rotate the individual rollers and change their intensity. This allows for deeper tissue to be reached and physical tension and stress to be relieved.
Airbag:
Airbag massage systems - also called air cushion systems - are used to mimic Swedish deep tissue massage. They do this by inflating and deflating air cushions in a variety of methods and speeds, essentially compressing and manipulating the muscles and connective tissues. The air cushions can work independently or in conjunction.
Body Scan Technology:
Body scan uses a peripheral system to scan heart rate, posture, and fatigued or tense areas and pressure points of the body. This system is used to apply a customized massage or make minor adjustments based on your biofeedback.
Body Stretching:
With the body stretching function of massage chairs - also called body stretch or body extension - the user's back is strongly stretched, which can provide relief and relaxation. More information can be found under Thai Stretching.

Lumbar Heat:
This function of massage chairs warms the lower back area and can contribute to both ligament pain relief and general back relaxation.
Recreational Massage Chair:
These massage chairs offer only individual therapeutic, medical, or chiropractic massage functions. They are specifically used to relieve stress and tension, as well as to alleviate back pain. Chairs in this category focus heavily on comfort functions and design.
L-Track:
The L-track allows the massage rollers to start massaging at the base of the head, then travel down the back (as with the S-track in an S-shape), wrap under the glutes, and then extend to the back of the thighs. This is an extension of the S-track, as the rollers now also reach the buttocks and thighs.
Air Ionizer:
Some massage chairs have an airflow function that provides the user with a breath of fresh and purified air. The air ionizer purifies the air using ions, which are excellent dust collectors. The charged particles combine with dust and other airborne particles, becoming larger particles. Due to their increased weight, these fall to the ground, thus ridding the room air of potential pollutants.
