Today almost everyone calls their massage devices “Shiatsu Massage” – why not you?

To answer this question, it's first important to understand what Shiatsu actually means. A Shiatsu massage is a traditional Japanese massage in which pressure is applied to the body using the thumbs. This pressure is usually applied in a circular motion. This type of massage can relieve muscle tension, stimulate circulation, and allow blocked energy to flow again. This activates the body's self-healing powers, and we find our balance again. For this reason, not all massage devices can be called "Shiatsu massage."

For example, there are also massage devices that perform a tapping massage and are therefore not Shiatsu massages. However, most of our devices are Shiatsu massage devices and are labeled as such. It is very important to us that the customer knows and understands the different massage types in order to find the right device for them. How do your models differ from the competition?

We sell our products directly to the end customer, without wholesalers or middlemen. This has the advantage of allowing us to offer our products at the same quality as our competitors at a lower price. We're also much closer to our customers, so customer feedback goes directly to us. This allows us to respond quickly to problems and continuously improve our products and services.

Are only healthy people allowed to use your devices?

A resounding no! We want to help people with our devices. This starts with people who are stressed by their work or, for example, by family, and seek relaxation with our massage devices. Office workers with back problems or athletes with muscle tension also rely on our products. Seniors with muscle pain also find relief thanks to our massage devices.

We occasionally receive inquiries from customers with pacemakers, asking whether they can use our devices with their pacemaker. It depends on the pacemaker model; if we can provide 100% certainty, we advise them immediately. Otherwise, we always refer them to a doctor.

Are the massage devices suitable for pregnant women?

Pregnant women should, of course, be especially careful with massages during pregnancy. The well-being of the child must be the primary consideration. Therefore, we recommend products for the neck and shoulders, which are often tense in pregnant women. Foot massagers can also be used without any problems. Massage devices for the back and abdomen, as well as massage chairs, should be avoided during pregnancy.

Are you planning any more products in 2020?

As a specialized manufacturer of massage devices, we naturally ensure that our equipment meets the latest standards and technologies. Therefore, new products are regularly added to our range. For 2020, we have placed our primary focus on new massage chairs. The topics of health, relaxation, and well-being are now gaining increasing popularity in Germany as well. Especially in Asian countries, massages are a part of everyday life and offer real added value to the quality of life. Due to the high prices for professional massages, regular massage is not possible for the majority of people in Germany. This is precisely where we want to start and offer people in Germany a regular, affordable massage.

To bring a new product to market, our research department must first develop a new product. Before it goes into production, the products must of course be certified to ensure that the product does not pose any safety risks and that the materials are EU-compliant.

Where do you sell devices? Is Naipo also available on Amazon or other online stores?

We offer our products on major marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Real, Rakuten, Cdiscount). Our products can also be found and ordered through our own online shop, naipo.de. We also publish informative blog articles on the topic of massage and wellness on our online shop. Furthermore, two retail stores are already planned for 2020 in Hamburg, where our customers can test the products in person and expect in-depth consultation. This concept will be rolled out across Germany in the coming years.
